REBA GRAY

Reba’s sense of adventure and curiosity has led her to places near and far. Her desire to contribute led her to join the Peace Corps, an experience that taught her the power of community. She returned to the states in 2001, and was fortunate to find a supportive community inside the yoga shala in Boston.

She practiced yoga and trained for six years, then became a hands-on alignment assistant in 2007 and completed her 200-hour teacher training in 2009 through the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute. She served as a mentor for students in hands-on assistant trainings at the school from 2008-2009.

After three years of teaching private and group classes in Boston, Reba moved to Oakland in 2010. She sees her offerings as a collaboration between teacher & student, and continues to receive inspiration from her community — evident in her creative, sometimes philosophical, upbeat classes. Reba’s vinyasa style combines cardio, alignment focus, meditation, and pranayama. She thrives on the energy in group classes and continues advanced training with many teachers in the Bay Area.
